JB/T 12424-2015 is the English-translated version of 电气用热固性模塑制品可视缺陷定义及分类（SMC/BMC）.
JB/T 12424-2015 is the Chinese machinery industry standard that defines and classifies the visual defects of moulded products made from thermosetting plastics for electrical purposes, the SMC and BMC compounds. It gives the definition of each defect and the class into which it falls, so that the appearance of a moulding can be judged in agreed terms. Its field of application is reinforced thermosetting moulded products made by compression moulding, transfer moulding and injection moulding. The standard is a recommended one and sits under the Chinese classification K15 and the international classification 29.035.20. It quotes GB/T 2035-2008, ASTM D2562-2002 and ASTM D2563-2002.
