1 Foreword

JB/T 11838-2014 was issued by MIIT on 6 May 2014 and has been in force since 1 October 2014.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard giving the technical specification for the large ductile iron castings used as casings of ultra-supercritical steam turbines. It states the ordering requirements for these large cylinder castings, the manufacturing processes used to make them, the technical requirements they must satisfy, the inspection rules, the test methods, and the quality certificates and signs that go with them.
