1 Foreword

JB/T 10231.14-2017 was issued by MIIT on 7 November 2017 and has been in force since 1 April 2018.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 10231.14-2002.

It is one of 46 parts of the JB/T 10231 series.

2 Scope

Part 14 of the JB/T 10231 standard on tool inspection methods, JB/T 10231.14-2017 deals with slotting drills, the milling cutters used to produce keyways. It gives the methods by which these cutters are checked and the equipment with which the checks are made, so that both the procedure and the measuring means for each check fall within it. It is a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry, classified J41 in the Chinese system and 25.100.20 in the international one. It replaces the 2002 edition of the same part, JB/T 10231.14-2002. It quotes JB/T 10231.1-2015.
