JB/T 10193-2010 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard setting the specification for activated carbon adsorption tanks. It classifies the tanks and lays down requirements, test methods and inspection rules, together with marks, signs, the instruction manual, packaging, transport and storage. Its application is narrow: water duty only, and fixed-bed adsorption vessels filled with granular activated carbon of 0.8 mm to 3.0 mm in size, of 3 mm to 8 mm in length, and of a strength greater than 85 per cent. It replaces JB/T 10193-2000. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 8923, GB/T 9969, GB/T 13306, JB/T 2932 and JB/T 8939.
