1 Foreword
JB/T 10163-2011 was issued by MIIT on 20 December 2011 and has been in force since 1 April 2012.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 10163-1999.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the dry-running electromagnetic multi-disc clutch. It gives the terms and definitions, the classification, the characteristics and the product information, the conditions of normal use, installation and transport, the structural and performance requirements, and the tests. The clutch it applies to is the dry multi-plate electromagnetic clutch, which acts on the driving side of a mechanical transmission so that the driven part and the driving part are combined or separated. The standard applies to the dry multi-disc electromagnetic brake as well. It replaces JB/T 10163-1999. It quotes GB/T 191-2008, GB/T 4207-2003, GB 14048.1-2006 and JB/T 1648.
