This standard specifies the symbols, types and dimensions, technical requirements, marking and packaging of long parallel shank twist drills.
It applies to long parallel shank twist drills of diameter 2 mm to 20 mm, hereinafter referred to as "twist drills".

4.2 Designation examples
A right-hand long parallel shank twist drill of diameter d = 5 mm is designated: Long parallel shank twist drill 5 JB/T 10002-2013.
A left-hand long parallel shank twist drill of diameter d = 5 mm is designated: Long parallel shank twist drill 5-L JB/T 10002-2013.
