HG/T 5763-2020 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard giving the inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry method for metal elements in metallocene polyolefin catalysts. It describes how magnesium, titanium, calcium, zirconium and further elements are determined with an ICP emission spectrometer. It applies to metallocene polyethylene and metallocene polypropylene catalysts within the ranges 100.00 mg/kg to 220.00 mg/kg for magnesium, 45.00 mg/kg to 165.00 mg/kg for titanium, 210.00 mg/kg to 570.00 mg/kg for calcium and 1600.00 mg/kg to 2600.00 mg/kg for zirconium; samples outside these ranges may also be measured, but the precision has not been verified for them. GB/T 602, GB/T 6379.2, GB/T 6682 and GB/T 8170 are quoted with it. Issued on 9 December 2020, it has applied since 1 April 2021.
