HG/T 4914-2016 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for glazing film pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. It fixes the terms and definitions, the classification, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage. The tapes in scope are single-sided coated pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes in roll form made on BOPP or PET film as the substrate. They are used mainly for the surface coating and bar code printing of trademark labels, wrapping paper, packaging, book and textbook covers, calligraphy and painting and other printed matter. Testing follows GB/T 2792, GB/T 4851, GB/T 4852, GB/T 6673, GB/T 7125, GB/T 22396, GB/T 26572-2011, GB/T 29596 and GB/T 30776. Issued on 15 January 2016, it has applied since 1 July 2016.
