1 Foreword

JB/T 5658-2015 was issued by MIIT on 30 April 2015 and has been in force since 1 October 2015.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 5658-1991.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes for electrical purposes, covering the polyester film tape coated with a rubber or acrylic adhesive. It lays down the terms and definitions, the naming and classification, the requirements and the test methods for the tape, together with the provisions on marking, labelling, packaging and storage. The adhesives named in its title are the thermosetting rubber, the thermoplastic rubber and the crosslinked acrylic types, and the product in its field is the electrical polyester film tape coated with one of them. It quotes GB/T 10582-2008, GB/T 20631.1-2006 and GB/T 20631.2-2006. The document carries the Chinese classification K15 with the international classification 29.035.20.
