Scope

HG/T 4912-2016 is the English-translated version of 静电植绒胶粘剂.

HG/T 4912-2016 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for adhesives used in electrostatic flocking. It lays down their classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and the rules for marking, packaging, transport and storage. Two families are in scope: the two-component polyurethane adhesive used for automotive electrostatic flocking and the acrylic adhesive used for textile electrostatic flocking. The polyurethane type serves mainly for the flocking of automotive seals, retaining strips and luggage compartments, while the acrylic type binds the pile in flocked fabric production and is also used for patterned flocking on polyester ornaments and handicrafts. Testing follows a set of published methods including GB/T 528-2009, GB/T 2793-1995, GB/T 2794-2013, FZ/T 64011-2012 and HG/T 3075-2003. Issued on 15 January 2016, it has applied since 1 July 2016.
