HG/T 4856-2015 is the Chinese chemical industry standard giving the analytical methods for the chemical composition of nickel-based catalysts used in gas-phase benzene hydrogenation. Such catalysts convert benzene, or organic feedstock containing benzene, into cyclohexane. The methods cover the determination of the mass fractions of water, nickel, aluminium oxide and potassium oxide in the catalyst, as well as its loss on ignition. GB/T 601, GB/T 603, GB/T 6003.1, GB/T 6679 and GB/T 6682 are applied with it. Its Chinese classification is G74 and its international one 71.100.99. Issued on 14 July 2015, it has applied since 1 January 2016.
