HG/T 4846-2015 is a recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for waterborne inorganic phosphate solvent-resistant anticorrosive coatings. It gives the requirements for these coatings and the test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage that accompany them. The coatings in scope use water as the dispersion medium and are made from inorganic phosphate, ultrafine zinc powder, fillers and crosslinking agents. They are intended mainly for solvent tanks, the inner walls of holds and the surfaces of steel products, and may also be used as high temperature coatings. The standard quotes a long list of paint test documents, among them GB/T 1725, GB/T 1735, GB/T 1766, GB/T 5210, GB/T 9274, HG/T 3668 and ASTM D6580. Issued on 14 July 2015, it has applied since 1 January 2016.
