HG/T 4845-2015 is a recommended standard of the Chinese chemical industry covering cold-applied zinc coatings. It specifies their requirements and the test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage that go with them. The products in its scope are single-component organic coatings of high zinc content, applied at ambient temperature and made up of zinc powder, organic resin, solvent and other components; their main uses are cathodic protection of exposed steel surfaces and repair of damaged coated or sprayed zinc layers. Multi-component zinc-rich primers are excluded. Cited documents include GB/T 1731-1993, GB/T 5210-2006, GB/T 6890-2012, GB/T 8923.1, GB/T 13288.1 and HG/T 3668-2009. Issued on 14 July 2015, it has applied since 1 January 2016.
