Scope
HG/T 4285-2011 is the English-translated version of 压力容器用圆形钠钙玻璃视镜.
HG/T 4285-2011 is a recommended chemical industry standard for circular soda-lime glass sight glasses used on pressure vessels. It covers the marking of the product, the material, the requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and ends with marking, packaging, transport and storage. The sight glasses concerned are physically strengthened and are fitted to the observation openings of steel pressure vessels and piping. In continuous contact with a flowing fluid the temperature reaches 150 °C, use below ambient temperature is not excluded, and with alkaline solutions the maximum temperature does not exceed 100 °C. It is a non-equivalent adoption of DIN 8902-1996 and quotes GB/T 5137.2, GB/T 6579-2007, GB/T 6580, GB/T 6581, GB/T 6582, GB/T 16920 and ASTM C601-1985 (2010). Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
