HG/T 4284-2011 is the English-translated version of 压力管道硼硅玻璃视镜.
HG/T 4284-2011 is the recommended chemical industry standard for borosilicate glass sight glasses fitted to pressure piping. It sets the marking, the material, the requirements, the inspection methods and the inspection rules, together with marking, packaging, transport and storage. The sight glasses covered are physically strengthened and are made for pressure pipes and vessels; the maximum permissible working temperature does not exceed 280 °C and the working pressure stays below 5.0 MPa. Glass properties and testing are referred to GB/T 5137.2, GB/T 6579-2007, GB/T 6580, GB/T 6581, GB/T 6582, GB/T 16920 and ASTM C601-85 (2010). Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
