Positive-working computer-to-plate plates exposed by ultraviolet light, also called UV-CTP plates, are the subject of HG/T 4240-2011, a recommended chemical industry standard. It sets the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for packaging, marking, storage and transport. The plates covered use a grained and anodized aluminum base as their support and are made for computer-to-plate machines whose ultraviolet source works between 320 nm and 450 nm. The standard carries the Chinese classification G81 and the international classification 37.100.99. It quotes GB/T 191, GB/T 6388, GB/T 6544 and GB/T 17155-1997. It was issued on 20 December 2011 and has applied since 1 July 2012.
