HG/T 4077-2009 is a recommended standard of the Chinese chemical industry giving the technical specification for the application of anticorrosive coatings. It covers the preparation of the substrate, the requirements on the coating materials, the requirements on the coating itself, quality and safety during the work, and the inspection and acceptance of the finished job. It applies to anticorrosive coatings laid on metal substrates of steel and on non-metallic substrates of concrete in gaseous corrosive environments. Its surface preparation and coating test methods are taken from the documents it quotes, among them GB/T 5210-2006, GB/T 8923-1988, GB/T 9286-1998, GB 11375-1999, GB 13348-1992, GB 50046 and GB 50212-2002. Issued on 5 February 2009, it has applied since 1 July 2009.
