HG/T 4064-2008 is the recommended chemical industry standard of China for dispersing agent XY. It sets the technical requirements for the product together with the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage. The standard covers dispersing agent XY made from coking wash oil, which is sulfonated and then condensed with formaldehyde to give the finished dispersant. Products of this kind serve mainly the dye industry as dispersing agents and as fillers, and they are also used in construction as water-reducing admixtures. The work is carried out with GB/T 251, GB/T 2381, GB/T 2383, GB/T 2386, GB/T 5551, GB/T 6366, GB/T 6368 and HG/T 3399. Issued on 23 April 2008, it has applied since 1 October 2008.
