HG/T 4008-2008 is the English-translated version of 照相化学品乙酸（冰乙酸）.
HG/T 4008-2008 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for acetic acid, glacial acetic acid included, supplied as a photographic chemical. It sets the requirements for the product and the test methods used to check them, together with the inspection rules and the provisions for packaging, labelling, transport, storage and safety, and it applies to the testing of photographic-grade acetic acid. It was prepared with reference to ISO 3298-1994 in a non-equivalent manner. It quotes GB 190 and GB 15258, GB/T 601, GB/T 603, GB/T 618 and GB/T 619, GB/T 6682 and GB/T 20432.5. Issued on 23 April 2008, it has applied since 1 October 2008.
