HG/T 3933-2007 is a recommended chemical industry standard of China for oxidized starch of industrial grade. It sets the requirements for the product and covers the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to the production, inspection and sale of oxidized starch made mainly from potato, maize or cassava starch. Outside the food industry the product serves in papermaking, textiles and building materials as a sizing agent and as an adhesive. Classified G17 with the international group 71.080.20, the standard quotes GB/T 191-2000, GB/T 601-2002, GB/T 603-2002, GB/T 6003.1-1997, GB/T 6678-2003, GB/T 9724-1988, GB/T 12309-1990, GB/T 12095, GB/T 12096, GB/T 12097 and ISO 3946-1982. Issued on 13 April 2007, it has applied since 1 October 2007.
