Scope

HG/T 3869-2008 is the English-translated version of 硫化橡胶压缩或剪切性能的测定（扬子尼机械示波器法）.

HG/T 3869-2008 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for determining the mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber in compression or in shear with the Yerzley mechanical oscillograph. It gives the test method for the conventional small-deformation range of such materials. It applies to resilient materials that at room temperature deform by more than 20% under a compressive or shear force of about 1 MPa to 2 MPa, and that yield at least three complete cycles on the oscillograph trace. Conditioning of the test pieces follows GB/T 2941. The standard replaces the 2006 edition HG/T 3869-2006. Issued on 23 April 2008, it has applied since 1 October 2008.
