Scope
HG/T 3814-2006 is the English-translated version of 工业亚硫酸氢钠.
HG/T 3814-2006 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for sodium bisulfite of industrial grade. It specifies the requirements for the product, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions covering marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage. The product it governs is used mainly as a reducing agent in the bleaching of cotton fabric and in the dye, paper, leather and chemical synthesis industries, and also in pharmaceutical work as an intermediate in organic synthesis, as a dechlorinating agent, as a mordant and as a decolourising agent. The standard quotes GB/T 3049-1986, GB/T 3050-2000, GB/T 6678, GB/T 8946 and the three parts of HG/T 3696 among others. Issued on 26 July 2006, it has applied since 1 March 2007.
