HG/T 3502-2008 is the English-translated version of 工业癸二酸二辛酯.
The recommended chemical industry standard HG/T 3502-2008 governs dioctyl sebacate for industrial use, abbreviated DOS. It fixes the requirements for the product and sets out the test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage that accompany them. What falls under it is dioctyl sebacate obtained from sebacic acid and 2-ethylhexyl alcohol as raw materials, a product used chiefly as a cold-resistant plasticizer for PVC. The testing draws on a long list of general methods, among them GB/T 601, GB/T 603, GB/T 1664, GB/T 6489, GB/T 9722 and GB/T 11133. The earlier edition HG/T 3502-1989 is superseded. Issued on 23 April 2008, it has applied since 1 October 2008.
