Scope
HG/T 3393-2010 is the English-translated version of 碱性品红（C.I.碱性紫14）.
Basic fuchsine, the cationic dye indexed as C.I. Basic Violet 14 and formerly sold as basic brilliant red GB, is the subject of HG/T 3393-2010. This recommended chemical industry standard sets the product requirements and prescribes sampling, the test methods, the inspection rules and the treatment of marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage, all directed at quality control of the dye. It is classified G57 in the Chinese system, with ICS 71.100.01 and 87.060.10. The tests are performed according to GB/T 2374, GB/T 2381, GB/T 2399 and GB/T 6678, while GB 19601 and GB 20814 are also invoked. It replaces HG/T 3393-1999. Issued on 22 November 2010, it has applied since 1 March 2011.
