Safety technology in the production of polyvinyl chloride is the subject of HG/T 30026-2018, a standard of the Chinese chemical industry. It lays down general requirements and special requirements, emergency response, hazard analysis and the safety technical measures to be taken in the preparation of vinyl chloride and in its suspension polymerisation. The standard applies to the production of polyvinyl chloride where vinyl chloride is made by the calcium carbide route and polymerised in suspension. It was issued on 21 December 2018 by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, took effect on 1 July 2019, and supersedes HG A006-1983.
