HG/T 2871-2022 is the Chinese chemical industry standard describing the flexing test for whole rubber shoes. Under set test conditions the shoe is flexed repeatedly, after which it is examined for faults such as opened bonds and cracks between upper, sole and skirt. The standard sets out two procedures, method A and method B. It applies to testing the flex performance of whole rubber shoes, and other footwear may be tested in the same way for reference. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it on 30 September 2022 and it took effect on 1 April 2023; editions of 2008 and 1997 are listed as obsolete.
