Scope
HG/T 2768-2009 is the English-translated version of 工业氟硅酸镁.
HG/T 2768-2009 is the recommended standard of the Chinese chemical industry for magnesium fluorosilicate of industrial grade. It gives the requirements for the product and goes on to the test methods, the inspection rules, the marking and labelling and the rules for packaging, transport and storage. The product it covers is the one obtained by reacting fluosilicic acid with magnesium oxide. It serves mainly as a hardening and waterproofing agent that raises the hardness and strength of concrete, as a fluosilicate treatment protecting building surfaces against weathering, and in the making of ceramics and the protection of fabrics against pests. GB/T 191, GB/T 6678, GB/T 6682, GB/T 8170, HG/T 3696.1 and HG/T 3696.3 are quoted. It replaces HG/T 2768-1996. Issued on 4 December 2009, it has applied since 1 June 2010.
