HG/T 2098-2011 is the English-translated version of 釜用机械密封类型、主要尺寸及标志.
HG/T 2098-2011 is a recommended Chinese chemical industry standard dealing with mechanical seals for agitated vessels. It fixes the types, the main dimensions and the marking of these seals. They are intended for the stirring shafts of steel vessels and for similar vertical rotating shafts, with shaft or sleeve diameters between 30 mm and 220 mm, speeds no greater than 2 m/s and vessel temperatures no higher than 350 °C; media that are strongly oxidizing acids or highly concentrated alkalis fall outside the scope. It quotes HG/T 20592-2009. It supersedes HG/T 2098-2001. Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
