1 Scope

GB/Z 40992-2021 is the Chinese national standard on general technical condition for electronic communication devices for people with speech disorder, in the field of health care technology. The /Z suffix marks it as a guiding technical document: it does not prescribe requirements that can be certified against, but sets out the technique, the method or the state of the art that the standards bodies recommend following. It was issued on 26 November 2021 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China. 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 16432 apply to this document.

3.1 Electronic communication board electroniccommunicationdevices Using text, symbols, graphics, animation or video and other visual information and sound combined form, can send out the content of visual information Corresponding voice, an electronic assistive device that assists persons with speech impairment in communicating information or training communication skills.
