This part of the amendment uses ISO 834-5.:2000 "fire test building components - Part 5. load-bearing horizontal partition member special Seeking "(English version).

This section is based on ISO 834-5.:2000 redrafted. Appendix A of the original ISO 834-5.:2000 Appendix, Appendix B lists the headquarters Sub-chapter number and ISO 834-5.:2000 Chapter Article number control list.

Taking into account China's national conditions, the adoption of ISO 834-5.:2000, made some changes in this section. The relevant technical differences have been incorporated into the text and marked with a vertical single line in the margins of the terms of the articles they cover. These technical differences and their precursors are given in Appendix C.

Because of the list, for reference.

For ease of use, corresponding to ISO 834-5.:2000, this section also made the following editorial changes.

--- "This part of ISO 834" was revised to "This part of GB/T 9978";

--- Use the decimal point "." Instead of as a decimal point comma ",";

--- Remove the foreword and foreword of the international standard.

This part of Appendix A, Appendix B and Appendix C are informative appendix.

1 Scope

This section GB/T 9978 specifies the test method for determining the fire resistance of the load-bearing horizontal partition members whose surface is exposed to fire.

This section also applies to the horizontal load-bearing separation of such girders if the roof or floor elements are not supported by the girders and can not be tested member. However, test data can not be transferred directly between the two specimen components.

When the structure of untested building components in line with the conditions of direct application scope given in this section has been carried out in accordance with the provisions of this section Fire resistance test of the components of the fire resistance results can be applied to similar components of the building has not been tested.

2 Normative references

The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this part of GB/T 9978, become the provisions of this section. For dated references, its subsequent Amendments (not including errata content) or revisions do not apply to this section, however, to encourage the agreement reached under this section the parties studied whether the latest versions of these documents are available. For undated references, the latest version applies to this section.

1) The standard will be based on the revised revisions GB/T 5907-1986, GB/T 14107-1993 and GB/T 16283-1996, with "Fire Vocabulary" as the total title, divided into five parts. Among them, the second part is GB/T 5907.2 "Fire Vocabulary Part 2. Fire Safety Vocabulary," will be amended to adopt ISO 13943.:2000.

3 Terms and definitions

GB/T 5907 and GB/T 9978.1 established and the following terms and definitions apply to this section.

Horizontal guide bearing structure in building structure.

Note. They can form a composite with the structure they support, or they can be separated from the structure they support.

The test piece is exposed to the effective length of the fire in the test furnace.

The test specimen is exposed to the effective width of the fire in the test furnace.

Load-bearing horizontal separation between two floors in a building structure.
