Scope
GB/T 9816.3-2018 is the English-translated version of 热熔断体 第3部分:易融合金感温型热熔断体的特殊要求.
GB/T 9816.3-2018 is Part 3 of the Chinese standard on thermal-links and sets particular requirements for fusible-alloy temperature-sensing thermal-links, a type that Part 1 does not treat separately from organic-substance thermal-links.
It covers their mechanical, electrical, temperature and material requirements, with clauses on marking, documentation, rust protection, the manufacturer's confirmation procedure, vibration and sealing ageing, and a normative annex of application guidance.
It applies to thermal-links, including packaged thermal-links, used in electrical appliances, electronic equipment and similar components in ordinary indoor environments to guard against over-temperature, with rated voltage up to 690 V AC or DC and rated current up to 63 A. It does not cover use in corrosive or explosive atmospheres, or on AC circuits below 45 Hz or above 62 Hz. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.

Foreword
GB/T 9816 "Thermal Fuse" includes the following parts.
--- Part 1. Requirements and application guidelines;
--- Part 2. Particular requirements for organic temperature sensitive thermal fuses;
--- Part 3. Special requirements for easy fusion of gold-sensing thermal fuses.
This part is the third part of GB/T 9816.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
Introduction
GB/T 9816.1 equivalent to IEC 60691 does not make a clear distinction between different types of thermal fuses, the same applies The terms are assessed; in fact, different types of products have great differences, both in terms of working principle and actual application of the product. Head There are two main types of thermal fuses in the pre-use range. organic temperature-sensitive thermal fuses and easy-to-fusion gold-sensing thermal fuses. This section Mainly for the product characteristics and practical application of the easy-to-fusion gold temperature-sensitive thermal fuse, or rewrite the contents of GB/T 9816 part 1, Or add new terms to enable a more targeted assessment of such thermal fuses.
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 9816 specifies the technical requirements for mechanical, electrical, temperature and materials of the fusion-type gold temperature-sensitive thermal fuse.
This section applies to electrical appliances, electronic equipment and similar components used in general indoor environments to prevent them from malfunctioning. Under the circumstances, there is an over-temperature, easy-to-fusion gold-type thermal fuse.
Note 1. Equipment is not necessarily designed to generate heat.
Note 2. The effectiveness of preventing over-temperature is related to the installation position and installation method of the thermal fuse and the current carrying capacity.
Note 3. It should be noted that the external creepage distance and clearance specified in Table 3 of GB/T 9816.1-2013 may be smaller than some electrical appliances or equipment under certain circumstances. Standard requirements. In this case, when such equipment is installed with thermal fuses, measures should be taken to achieve creepage distances and clearances. The specified value of the corresponding equipment standard.
Note 4. Unless otherwise specified, the easy-to-fusion gold-sensing thermal fuses and thermal fuses in this section refer to the easy-to-fusion gold-sensing thermal fuses.
If the climate and other conditions of the environment in which the entangled gold-sensing thermal fuse is located are similar to those specified in this section, this section also It can be used in the easy-to-fusion gold temperature-sensitive thermal fuses used in non-indoor conditions.
This part is applicable to the easy-to-fusion gold temperature-sensitive thermal fuses whose rated voltage does not exceed 690V AC and DC and the rated current does not exceed 63A.
This section is also applicable to the easy-to-fusion gold temperature-sensitive packaged thermal fuse (hereinafter referred to as packaged thermal fuse).
This section does not apply to easily fused gold temperature-sensitive thermal fuses used under extreme conditions such as corrosive or explosive atmospheres.
This section does not apply to easy-to-fusion gold-sensing thermal fuses used on AC circuits with frequencies below 45 Hz or above 62 Hz.
