Scope

GB/T 9816.2-2018 is the English-translated version of 热熔断体 第2部分:有机物感温型热熔断体的特殊要求.

GB/T 9816.2-2018 is Part 2 of the Chinese national standard on thermal-links and sets particular requirements for organic temperature-sensing thermal-links, adding to the general rules of GB/T 9816.1-2013.

It covers the mechanical, electrical, temperature and material requirements of these devices, which protect electrical appliances, electronic equipment and similar components used indoors against over-temperature, for rated voltages up to 690 V AC and DC and rated currents up to 63 A, and it also applies to packaged thermal-links.

It excludes corrosive or explosive atmospheres and AC circuits below 45 Hz or above 62 Hz. Its clauses cover marking, documentation, mechanical and electrical tests, temperature, rust resistance, the manufacturer's confirmation procedure, vibration and sealing ageing, with application guidelines in an annex. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.

Foreword

GB/T 9816 "Thermal Fuse" includes the following parts.

--- Part 1. Requirements and application guidelines;

--- Part 2. Particular requirements for organic temperature sensitive thermal fuses;

--- Part 3. Special requirements for easy fusion of gold-sensing thermal fuses.

This part is the second part of GB/T 9816.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

Introduction

Equivalent to IEC 60691 GB/T 9816.1 "Guidelines and Application Guidelines for Thermal Fuse", not for different types of thermal fuses Make a clear distinction, using the same terms for assessment; in fact, different types of products, whether it is working principle or product actual There are big differences in the application. At present, there are two main types of thermal fuses that are widely used. organic temperature-sensitive thermal fuses and easy-melting Alloy temperature sensitive thermal fuse. This section is mainly for the product characteristics and practical application of organic temperature-sensitive thermal fuses, or rewrite The contents of Part 1 of GB/T 9816, or new terms, enable a more targeted assessment of such thermal fuses.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 9816 specifies the technical requirements for mechanical, electrical, temperature and materials of organic temperature-sensitive thermal fuses.

This section applies to electrical appliances, electronic equipment and similar components used in general indoor environments to prevent them from malfunctioning. In the case of an over-temperature organic temperature-sensitive thermal fuse.

Note 1. Equipment is not necessarily designed to generate heat.

Note 2. The effectiveness of preventing over-temperature is related to the installation position and installation method of the thermal fuse and the current carrying capacity.

Note 3. It should be noted that the external creepage distance and clearance specified in Table 3 of GB/T 9816.1-2013 may be smaller than some electrical appliances or equipment under certain circumstances. Standard requirements. In this case, when such equipment is installed with thermal fuses, measures should be taken to achieve creepage distances and clearances. The specified value of the corresponding equipment standard.

Note 4. Unless otherwise specified, the organic temperature-sensitive thermal fuses and thermal fuses in this section refer to organic temperature-sensitive thermal fuses.

This section may also be used if the climate and other conditions of the organic temperature-sensitive thermal fuse are similar to those specified in this section. It is used for organic temperature sensitive thermal fuses used in non-indoor conditions.

This part is applicable to organic temperature sensitive thermal fuses whose rated voltage does not exceed 690V AC and DC and the rated current does not exceed 63A.

This section also applies to organic temperature-sensitive packaged thermal fuses (hereinafter referred to as packaged thermal fuses).

This section does not apply to organic temperature-sensitive thermal fuses used under extreme conditions such as corrosive or explosive atmospheres.

This section does not apply to organic temperature sensitive thermal fuses used on AC circuits with frequencies below 45 Hz or above 62 Hz.
