Scope
GB/T 8496-2011 is the English-translated version of 电视广播接收机电子式调谐器基本参数及测量方法.
GB/T 8496-2011 fixes the basic parameters of the electronic tuner in a television broadcast receiver and how each is measured.
The general clause gives VHF channels 1 to 12 and UHF channels 13 to 57, the picture, sound and colour intermediate frequencies of 38 MHz, 31.5 MHz and 33.57 MHz, an unbalanced input and output impedance of 75 ohm, and measuring conditions of 15 °C to 35 °C, 25% to 75% relative humidity and 86 kPa to 106 kPa.
The electrical parameters include oscillator frequency coverage, the amplitude-frequency characteristics, power gain, noise figure, input return loss, maximum input level, the rejection and interference suppression ratios, cross-modulation immunity, temperature drift and AFC sensitivity; mechanical ones cover dimensions, terminal strength and socket separating force.
It replaces GB/T 8496-1987, was issued on 31 October 2011 and has applied since 1 February 2012.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
This standard is GB/T 8496-1987 "television broadcast receiver electronic tuner basic parameters and measurement methods" amendments.
This standard and GB/T 8496-1987 compared to the main changes are as follows.
a) Based on the current status of technology and products for the power gain, noise figure, two indicators have been adjusted.
b) According to the current testing equipment and methods used by the manufacturers of the actual test conducted on the high-frequency amplitude-frequency characteristic of reflection loss measurement method Modified.
c) the original standard input of the local oscillator interference voltage, the local oscillator radiation interference field strength has been unable to meet the new national standard related to electromagnetic interference and Immunity characteristics requirements. This revision these two indicators combined into one --- EMC performance requirements, and cited new Related GB, respectively. GB 13837 and GB/T 9383.
d) DIMENSIONS claim to "press manufacturers and technical specifications," while deleting Appendix B.

This standard replaces GB/T 8496-1987 "television broadcast receiver electronic tuner Basic parameters and methods of measurement." The standard proposed by the People's Republic of China Ministry of Information Industry.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic parameters and methods of measurement of electronic television broadcast receiver tuner.
This standard applies to television broadcast receiver with VHF/UHF (VHF/UHF) electronic tuner. VCR electronic transfer Tuner can also refer to use.

3 General
3.1 Channel receiver
Very High Frequency (VHF) is (1-12) channels, ultra high frequency (UHF) (13 ~ 57) channel, TV channel rate divided performance in Appendix A.
3.2 Intermediate frequency
Picture intermediate (fIP). 38MHz; Sound IF (fIS). 31.5MHz; Colour IF (fIC). 33.57MHz.
3.3 Input impedance
75ohm unbalanced.
3.4 Output Impedance
75ohm unbalanced.
3.5 Operating Voltage
