This standard fixes the function and performance requirements for external modular receiving terminals for terrestrial digital television and the measurement methods that go with them.

Clause 1 states that it covers terminals supporting the reception of signals of the terrestrial digital television standard GB 20600-2006, and that it applies to the product design, production finalization and inspection of such terminals.
