3 Method summary
In an oxygen atmosphere, after the sample is dried and thermally decomposed at a high temperature in the decomposition furnace, the mercury is atomized, and the mercury vapor is brought into a single wavelength by the oxygen flow
Optical absorption cell, measuring the absorbance (peak height or peak area) of mercury at a wavelength of 253.7nm, and calculating the mercury content using the standard curve method.
4 reagent
Unless otherwise specified, only reagents confirmed to be superior grade and above purity are used in the analysis, and the water used meets the requirements of GB/T 6682
Secondary water.
4.1
Nitric acid (rho=1.42g/mL).
4.2
Nitric acid (1 19).
4.3 Potassium dichromate solution (10g/L)
Weigh 1g of potassium dichromate and dissolve it in 100mL of water.
4.4 Mercury standard storage solution
Weigh 1.3540g of mercury dichloride that has been pre-dried with phosphorus pentoxide for 24 hours, place it in a 250mL beaker, and add
Dissolve in a small amount of water, then add 50mL nitric acid (4.1), 10mL potassium dichromate solution (4.3), transfer to a 1000mL volumetric flask, and dilute with water
To the mark, mix well. This solution 1mL contains 1000µg mercury. Or directly use certified reference materials.
4.5
Mercury standard solution A. Pipette 10.00mL mercury standard stock solution (4.4) into a 100mL volumetric flask, add 1mL potassium dichromate
Solution (4.3), dilute to the mark with nitric acid (4.2), and mix. This solution 1mL contains 100µg mercury.
4.6 Mercury standard solution B
Pipette 10.00mL mercury standard solution A (4.5) into a 100mL volumetric flask, add 1mL potassium dichromate solution (4.3), dilute to the mark with nitric acid (4.2) and mix well. This solution 1mL contains 10µg mercury.
4.7
Oxygen (wO2>=99.99%).
5 Instruments
Direct mercury meter. The instrument parameters are set according to the recommended conditions given in Appendix A.
