Scope
GB/T 7715-2014 is the English-translated version of 工业用乙烯.
China's national specification for industrial ethylene. Ethylene is the most produced organic chemical in the world and the foundation of the petrochemical industry - a country's ethylene capacity is the standard measure of that industry's scale. Almost all of it is consumed where it is made or piped a short distance, because it is a gas that must be handled cold or under pressure, and it goes into polyethylene, ethylene oxide, ethylene dichloride and styrene. What makes the specification exacting is polymerisation: the catalysts that make polyethylene are poisoned at parts-per-million levels by acetylene, carbon monoxide, oxygen, sulfur and water, so the purity required is set by the catalyst rather than by any conventional notion of chemical purity. The standard specifies the requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport, storage and safety provisions, and applies to ethylene from steam cracking and from methanol-to-olefins technology intended for polyethylene, ethylene oxide and other organic products.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules. This standard replaces GB/T 7715-2003 "industrial vinyl." Compared with the standard GB/T 7715-2003 The main changes are as follows:
--- Modify the scope (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2003 edition);
--- Modify normative references, cancel the document's reference number, increase the portion referenced file (see Chapter 2, 2003 edition chapter 2);
--- C3 and C3-class product metrics above by "<=20mL/m3" read "<=10mL/m3" (see Chapter 3, Table 1, 2003 edition of Chapter 3, Table 1);
--- Excellence for indicators of carbon monoxide by the "<=2mL/m3" read "<=1mL/m3", first-class goods index by the "<=5mL/m3" To "<=3mL/m3" (see Chapter 3, Table 1, 2003 edition of Chapter 3, Table 1); Excellence for indicators
--- acetylene content by "<=5mL/m3" read "<=3mL/m3", first-class goods index by the "<=10mL/m3" changed "<=6mL/m3" (see Chapter 3, Table 1, 2003 edition of Chapter 3, Table 1); First grade index
--- sulfur content by "<=2mg/kg" to "<=1mg/kg" (see Chapter 3, Table 1, 2003 edition of Chapter 3, Table 1);
--- Class product and first-class goods index methanol content by "<=10mg/kg" to "<=5mg/kg" (see Chapter 3, Table 1, 2003 Edition Chapter 3, Table 1);
--- Increasing the DME control targets, "Excellence for <=1mg/kg", "first-class product <=2mg/kg" (see Chapter 3, Table 1);
--- Remove the sampling, inspection rules will be transferred to the relevant content (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the 2003 edition);
--- Modify the logo, packaging, transportation and storage (see Chapter 5, Chapter 6, 2003 edition);
--- Modify the security (see Chapter 6, Chapter 7, 2003 edition). The standard proposed by China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation. 1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for industrial use ethylene, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and security. This standard applies by steam cracking, methanol to olefins processing technology, isolated ethylene, and its main purpose is the production of polyethylene, ethylene Ene oxide and other organic matter. Molecular formula. C2H
4 Molecular Weight. 28.054 (according to 2007 international relative atomic mass) This standard is not intended to illustrate associated with its use of all security issues, users have the responsibility to take appropriate safety and health practices, And to ensure compliance with the provisions of the relevant national regulations.
