Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting is required.

This document replaces GB/T 7605-2008 "Determination of demulsibility of steam turbine oil in operation". Compared with GB/T 7605-2008, In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

The scope of application of the document has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2008 edition); a) Added the term and definition of "anti-emulsification" (see 3.1); b) The requirements for test water have been changed (see 4.2, 4.2 of the 2008 edition); c) The test termination time was changed (see 6.3.4, 7.4 of the 2008 edition); d) The "repeatability" requirement was changed and the "reproducibility" requirement was added (see 7.1, 7.2, and 8.1 of the 2008 edition); e) Added provisions for test results (see Chapter 8). f) Please note that some of the contents of this document may involve patents. The issuing organization of this document does not assume the responsibility for identifying patents.

1 Scope

This document describes a method for determining the demulsibility of turbine oils in service.

This document applies to the determination of the demulsibility of turbine oils in service.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Demulsibility

The property of oil to resist mixing with water to form an emulsion.

Note. Demulsibility is expressed by the time (t) for oil and water in the emulsion to separate.

4 Reagents and Materials

4.1 Petroleum ether. analytical grade, boiling range 60 °C~90 °C.

4.2 Water. in accordance with the requirements of GB/T 6682 Grade 2 water.

4.3 Tweezers. Made of stainless steel.

4.4 Glass rod. wrapped with oil-resistant rubber, such as silicone rubber, fluororubber, etc. 4.5 Cotton wool.

5 Instruments and equipment

5.1 Demulsibility Tester

5.1.1 Stirring paddle

The stirring paddle is composed of blades and connecting rods made of stainless steel. The schematic diagram of the stirring paddle structure is shown in Figure 1.
