GB/T 726-1994 — This standard specifies the direction of rotation of reciprocating internal combustion engine (hereinafter referred to as the internal combustion engine) and the cylinder number of methods and signs mounted on the cylinder head of the engine cylinder head valve or remove signs methods.

The standard also specifies the definition of in-line engine the right machine, the left parties-bit machines and engines in order to describe mounted on the engine parts and each (with) pieces position.

This standard applies to land use, rail traction and marine reciprocating internal combustion engine, but not for use as drive agricultural tractors, road vehicles and aircraft engines.
