2.Transmission System". Compared with GB/T 6960.2-2007, Apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

3.1.3 of the.2007 version). 3.8, 3.12.8);

1 Scope

GB/T 6960.2-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the vocabulary of a tractor driveline - the clutch and the gearbox with its ranges and powershift, the differential and its lock, the final drives, the power take-off and the hydrostatic and continuously variable arrangements. Part 2 of the series. It replaces GB/T 6960.2-2007, in force from 1 May 2026. Issued on 31 October 2025, it has been in force since 1 May 2026, replacing GB/T 6960.2-2007.

This document defines the terminology and definitions for tractor drivetrains. This document applies to the production, research, teaching and other related fields of tractors and related parts.

3 General Terms

3.1 transmission system A complete device that converts and controls the speed and torque of the engine/electric motor to transmit them to the drive wheels and power output shaft (pulley).

3.2 A transmission system containing mechanical devices such as a dry clutch, gearbox, and drive axle.

3.3 A transmission system that transmits power to the drive wheels through hydraulic devices, including hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors, valves, and pipelines.

3.4 A transmission system containing a hydraulic shift clutch.

Note. A hydraulic shift clutch and/or brake is used to change the working gear pair to achieve gear shifting/reversal or starting.

3.5 A transmission system that can achieve continuously variable and precisely controllable speed ratios within a variable speed range.

3.6 electric powertrain A power system that includes a drive motor system and a transmission system can transmit energy to the drive wheels and the power output shaft.

Note. The drive motor system consists of a drive motor, a drive motor controller, and auxiliary devices necessary for its operation.

3.7 When transmitting power to the drive wheels, it can be done via a route containing hydraulic devices such as hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors, valves, and pipelines, or via a route containing only hydraulic components. A transmission system that uses mechanical devices such as gears to transmit power along a route, but can only transmit power through one route at a time.

3.8 speed ratio The ratio of the input shaft speed to the output shaft speed.
