Scope

GB/T 6877-2008 is the English-translated version of 计时仪器零部件分类、名称和编号 机械手表机心零部件分类、名称和编号.

China's national classification, terminology and numbering system for the parts and assemblies of mechanical wristwatch movements. A mechanical movement has upwards of a hundred parts, most of them under a few millimetres, and they have been named for two centuries in a vocabulary that is largely French in origin and inconsistent in translation - which becomes a real problem when the movements are made, serviced and traded in China at the volume they are. The system here is a numbered classification: each part carries a code within its functional group, so the barrel, its arbor and its cover, the mainspring and its bridle, and the corresponding parts of an automatic or a second barrel each have an identifier that does not depend on which name is used. That is what allows a service catalogue, a parts order and a repair record to refer to the same component across languages. The standard specifies the classification, names and numbers of mechanical watch movement components, and applies to movements of different structures and functions.

Foreword

This standard replaces GB/T 6877-1986 "mechanical timing equipment parts category, name and number of the watch and clock parts and fork watts type Member category, name and number. " This standard and GB/T 6877-1986 compared to the main changes are as follows:

--- Added "original dynamic system" component content (see 2.1);

--- Increased "transmission" component content (see 2.2);

--- Added "escapement speed line" component content (see 2.3);

--- Added "on the dial needle bar line" parts content (see 2.4);

--- Added "splint class" components content (see 2.5);

--- Added "calendar mechanism" component content (see 2.7);

--- Added "Zhou Li, calendars, calendar, 24, hopping, stars, moon phase mechanism" (see 2.8);

--- Added "quick dial mechanism" (see 2.9);

--- Added "shows Energy Agency" (see 2.11);

--- Increased "hammer mechanism" (see 2.12);

--- Added "measured body" (see 2.13);

--- The original "screw-type" as the common parts adjustments to the standard accessory (see Appendix A);

--- The original "class diamond" as a general member to adjust the standard accessory (see Appendix A);

The standard specifies the classification, names and numbers of mechanical watch movement components, and applies to movements of different structures and functions.

This standard specifies the classification of mechanical watch movement components, name and number.
