GB/T 6730.11-2025 is the English-translated version of 铁矿石 铝含量的测定 EDTA滴定法.
Aluminium content is one of the chemical indicators used to judge the quality and price of iron ore, because alumina affects furnace behaviour and slag practice. This standard sets out a chemical analysis method for determining aluminium in iron ores using EDTA titration.
The method is aimed at laboratories at mines, ports, steel works and independent inspection companies that analyse iron ore for trade or process control. Buyers and sellers who specify aluminium in sales contracts rely on a defined method so that results from different laboratories can be compared and disputes about quality can be settled on a common basis.

GB/T 6730.11-2025 is a recommended national standard (GB/T) of the People's Republic of China, issued on 29 August 2025 by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China, with effect from 1 March 2026.
This edition replaces GB/T 6730.11-2007.
The document adopts an international standard (ISO or IEC).
It is under the responsibility of the China Iron and Steel Association.
