Scope

GB/T 6150.8-2023 is the English-translated version of 钨精矿化学分析方法 第8部分:钼含量的测定 硫氰酸盐分光光度法.

GB/T 6150.8-2023 is part 8 of the Chinese methods for chemical analysis of tungsten concentrates and sets the thiocyanate spectrophotometric method for molybdenum, over a mass fraction of 0.0050 % to 4.50 %.

The sample is fused with sodium peroxide and leached with water to separate molybdenum from iron, manganese, copper, bismuth and calcium, tungsten is masked with citric acid, a copper salt acts as catalyst, thiourea reduces molybdenum to the pentavalent state, thiocyanate forms the orange-red complex and the absorbance is read at 460 nm against a working curve.

Its foreword places the sample weight in 8.1, the choice of high-alumina or iron crucible in 8.4.1, the whole-range working curve in 8.5 and precision in chapter 10.

It replaces GB/T 6150.8-2009, was issued on 6 August 2023 and applies from 1 March 2024.

Molybdenum in tungsten concentrate products is a valuable element in transactions, and the data is reported by the supplier, which has extremely high economic value. Tungsten concentrate product standards It was revised in 2015 (YS/T 231-2015), adding high-impurity tungsten concentrate products, and its various technical indicators have undergone new changes.

The medium molybdenum content increased from 1% to 4.5%. In view of this, it is indeed necessary to revise GB/T 6150.8-2009 to ensure that the standard adapts to the industry changes and market demands.

This document expands the measurement scope of the method and increases the use of iron crucibles, which is more in line with the actual needs of the tungsten industry for product testing. This document enters It further improves the applicability of the standard and plays an important role in improving the quality of tungsten concentrate products, promoting its production, trade and expanding application demand. significance.
