Scope
GB/T 6150.6-2023 is the English-translated version of 钨精矿化学分析方法 第6部分:湿存水含量的测定 重量法.
GB/T 6150.6-2023 is part 6 of the Chinese national series for the chemical analysis of tungsten concentrates and gives the gravimetric determination of hygroscopic moisture for mass fractions from 0.20 % to 10.00 %.
The sample, kept sealed and ground to a particle size no larger than 1.65 mm, is dried at 105 °C to 110 °C for two hours and the loss in mass gives the moisture content.
The apparatus is fixed accordingly: a 60 mm glass weighing dish, itself dried and cooled in a desiccator, a glass desiccator with colour-changing silica gel, a constant-temperature oven adjustable above 110 °C and holding temperature within ±5 °C, and an analytical balance reading to 0.0001 g.
Its foreword states that the range has been widened from the 0.2 % to 5 % of the 2008 edition, which this document replaces. It was issued on 6 August 2023 and has applied since 1 March 2024.
