Scope

GB/T 592-2026 is the English-translated version of 船用法兰铸铁止回阀.

Marine cast iron flanged check valves are the focus of this recommended national standard. The document specifies classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packaging and storage, and it is applicable to the design, manufacture and acceptance of cast iron valves of this type for ship piping systems carrying seawater, fresh water, fuel oil and lubricating oil.

Shipbuilders, valve makers, marine outfitting suppliers, classification societies and inspection personnel, and ship owners' technical teams who specify or accept valves for vessels are its likely users. It replaces GB/T 592-2015, so buyers and manufacturers working from the earlier edition should check what they need to change. It becomes effective on 1 January 2027. The standard refers to related marine valve, flange and casting documents, and it is generally read together with them rather than on its own.
