Scope

GB/T 5905.1-2023 is the English-translated version of 起重机 检验与试验规范 第1部分:通则.

GB/T 5905.1-2023 is the general part of the Chinese crane inspection and test code, used to verify crane performance.

It fixes the inspection and test items, the test conditions, instruments and apparatus, the requirements and methods and the records and reports: visual inspection of important components, parameter measurement and performance verification to GB/T 17908, and the load tests - no-load, rated load, static load, dynamic load and stability - plus a noise test.

In the static load test the load hangs 100 mm to 200 mm above the ground for not less than 10 minutes. It applies to cranes of the types defined in GB/T 6974 put into use for the first time after manufacture, modification or major repair of load-bearing structures or components.

It replaces GB/T 5905-2011 and has applied since 6 August 2023, its date of issue.

Foreword

This document was drafted in accordance with the rules provided in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for Standardization - Part 1: Rules for the Structure and Drafting of Standardizing Documents.

GB/T 5905 Cranes - Test Code and Procedures, GB/T 21457 Cranes and Related Equipment - Accuracy Requirements for Measuring Parameters during Testing, GB/T 22414 Cranes - Measurement of Velocity and Time Parameters, GB/T 22415 Cranes - Requirements for Test Loads and GB/T 30025 Cranes - Measurement of the Mass of a Crane and Its Components jointly constitute the national standard system for general test methods for supporting cranes.

This document is Part 1 of GB/T 5905 Cranes - Inspection and Test Code. GB/T 5905 has issued the following part.

---Part 1: General Principle.

This document serves as a replacement of GB/T 5905-2011 Cranes - Test Code and Procedures.

In comparison with GB/T 5905-2011, apart from structural adjustments and editorial modifications, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Terms and definitions are added (see Chapter 3);

b) Noise test requirements when necessary are added [see 4.1 d)];

c) The test conditions are modified, including the addition of test load requirements, extreme environmental conditions and instrument requirements, etc. (see Chapter 5; Chapter 5 of Version 2011);

d) The visual inspection requirements are modified, including the addition of visual inspection items, such as. pneumatic equipment, safety signs and hazard illustrations, etc. (see 6.2; 4.2 of Version 2011);

e) The name of qualification test and inspection is modified into "parameter measurements and performance verification"; parameter measurements, such as. load-lowering height, track tolerance, span, track gauge, base distance, amplitude, cantilever effective reach and safety distance, are added; important weld quality inspection and its non-destructive testing method when necessary are added (see 6.3;

4.1 of Version 2011);

f) No-load test and rated load test are added (see 6.4.2 and 6.4.3);

g) The static load test method is modified, including the deletion of the provision that "if the crane specifications permit, a static load test of the joint action of the hoisting mechanism shall also be performed" (see 6.4.4; 4.3.2 of Version 2011);

h) The dynamic load test method is modified (see 6.4.5; 4.3.3 of Version 2011);

i) The stability test method is modified (see 6.4.6; 4.3.4 of Version 2011);

j) The noise test method is added (see 6.5);

k) The requirements for the test record are added (see 7.1).

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 6974 (all parts) are applicable to this document.

4 Inspection and Test Items

4.1 The inspection and test items for the verification of the performance of the cranes include, but are not limited to the following items.

4.2 For mass-produced cranes, the number of crane prototypes used for inspection and testing shall be mutually negotiated between the manufacturer / supply-side and the demand-side.

5 Test Conditions, Instruments and Apparatus

5.1 Test Conditions

5.1.1 In order to conduct the test, the cranes shall be equipped with working devices suitable for operation and the conditions to satisfy the test.

5.1.2 During the test, at least the following conditions shall be satisfied.

5.2 Instruments and Apparatus

5.2.1 During inspections and tests, instruments and apparatus with appropriate accuracy and measuring range shall be selected.

6 Requirements and Methods

6.1 Overview

6.1.1 The inspection and test of the cranes specified in this document are the basic requirements and methods. The special requirements and detailed methods of each model or component are specified in other parts of this document and product standards, such as. explosion-proof performance test, reliability life test and launching machine through-hole test, etc.

6.1.2 When the rated hoisting capacity of the cranes depends on stability, the specified test procedures and test loads can verify the anti-overturning stability of the cranes.

6.2 Visual Inspection

The visual inspection shall include the inspection of whether the specifications and / or condition of all important components comply with the requirements in accordance with the type of cranes, such as.

6.3 Parameter Measurement and Performance Verification

6.3.1 Parameter measurement and performance verification of the cranes shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 17908. In addition, in accordance with the type of cranes, the measurement or verification is not limited to parameters and performance specified below.

6.3.2 The measurement of the mass of the cranes and components (if necessary) shall comply with the stipulations of GB/T 30025.
