Foreword

This document was drafted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.

This document replaces GB/T 5859-2008 Rolling bearings - Self-aligning thrust roller bearings - Boundary dimensions. Compared with GB/T 5859-2008, except for editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Two chapters "Terms and definitions" and "Identification codes" are added (see Chapter 3 and Chapter 5);

b) The definitions of some symbols are changed (see Chapter 4, Figure 1, and Tables 1~3; see Chapter 3, Figure 1, and Tables 1~3 of the 2008 edition);

c) The dimension ranges of self-aligning thrust roller bearings have been expanded (see Tables 1~3; see Tables 1~3 of the 2008 edition).

1 Scope

This document specifies the boundary dimensions of self-aligning thrust roller bearings that comply with GB/T 273.2-2018.

This document is applicable to the design and model selection of self-aligning thrust roller bearings (hereinafter referred to as "bearings").

For the dated referenced documents, only the versions with the indicated dates are applicable to this document; for the undated referenced documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) is applicable to this document.
