Terms and definitions GB/T 5838 defined apply to this document.

4 Determination of water soluble chlorides

4.1 Principle

Nitric acid solution, chloride ions and silver ions form insoluble silver chloride precipitate. When low chloride content, chloride within a certain time

Silver was a suspension, the solution was turbid, thereby performed turbidimetric chlorides.

4.2 Reagents and solutions

4.2.1 zinc sulfate solution (50g/L)

Weigh 5.0g zinc sulfate, soluble in water, dilute to 100mL, shake.

4.2.2 nitric acid (25%)

Weighed about 35mL of concentrated nitric acid (69.8%), diluted with water to 100mL, shake.

4.2.3 silver nitrate solution (25g/L)

Weigh 2.5g of silver nitrate, plus 5mL nitric acid and water dissolved and diluted to 100mL volumetric flask, constant volume, shake.

4.2.4 Chloride standard solution

0.1000% Cl-. Accurately weigh 1.6484g of sodium chloride was added water dissolved and diluted to 1000mL volumetric flask, constant volume with pure water, […]
