Scope
GB/T 5625-2008 is the English-translated version of 扩口式端直通管接头.
China's national standard for straight-through flared tube couplings with a straight thread. The flared coupling is the oldest reliable way of joining a metal tube to a fitting: the tube end is flared out into a cone, and a nut draws that cone hard against a matching seat on the fitting body, so the seal is metal to metal between two machined cone surfaces with no elastomer to age or extrude. This member is the straight one, taking a tube in line into a port, and its distinguishing feature is the straight thread on the port end, which does not seal on the threads themselves - it clamps a washer or O-ring against the face of the boss, so the joint can be tightened to a defined torque without the thread stress that a tapered thread imposes on the housing. The standard specifies the dimensions, marking and technical requirements of the coupling and its body, for tube outside diameters of 4 to 34 mm at working pressures of 3.5 to 16 MPa in general purpose hydraulic and transmission piping.

Foreword
This standard is one flared fittings series. This standard is GB/T 5625.1-1985 "Flared Straight fittings" and GB/T 5625.2-1985 "flared end straight tube Joint body "amendments. The main amendments are as follows:
--- The two standard content integration;
--- Modify the English name;
--- Increasing the F type threaded end-column, A column type threaded end increased 55 ° unsealed pipe thread (G);
--- Reducing the parameters should be part of the manufacturer's control;
--- Tolerance on the part of prevailing standards of tolerance and fit adjustment;
--- Cancel the marked surface roughness, surface roughness is given in GB/T 5653 "flared fittings technical conditions" in. Since the implementation of this standard replaces GB/T 5625.1-1985, GB/T 5625.2-1985. The standard proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation. This standard by the National Standardization Technical Committee pipe accessories. This standard is drafted by: The machine Productivity Promotion Center, Haiyan Pipe Manufacturing Co., Eaton (Ningbo) Co., fluid connector the company. Participated in the drafting of this standard. 1 Scope
This standard specifies the flared end of the straight pipe dimensions, marking and technical requirements of the joint and the joint body. This standard applies to pipe outside diameter 4mm ~ 34mm, the maximum working pressure of the hydraulic fluid and transmission of a 3.5MPa ~ 16MPa General purpose piping system.
