Scope
GB/T 546-2016 is the English-translated version of 霍尔锚.
GB/T 546-2016 covers Hall anchors. Clause 1 states that the standard specifies the type, structure and basic dimensions, marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs of Hall anchors, and that it applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of Hall anchors for all types of ships and waterborne buildings.
Clause 3, Type, structure and basic dimensions and marking, divides Hall anchors into three types in 3.1, namely type A, the rectangular bar Hall anchor, type B, the round bar Hall anchor, and type C, the rectangular short bar Hall anchor, and 3.2 then gives the structure and basic dimensions type by type with reference to figures; the draft version on the page breaks off inside 3.2.1.
The foreword records that the requirements content was added as chapter 4 and that test method, inspection rules and signs were added as chapters 5, 6 and 7 against the 1997 edition, but the page prints none of their text.

Foreword
This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 546-1997 "Hall Anchor". This standard compared with GB/T 546-1997, the main technical changes are as follows.
- Added the contents of the "requirements" (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the 1997 edition);
--- Added "test method" "inspection rules" "signs" and so on (see Chapter 5, Chapter 6, Chapter 7).
1 Scope
This standard specifies the type, structure and basic dimensions, marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs of Hall anchors.
This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of Hall anchors for all types of ships and waterborne buildings.

Hall anchors are divided into three types.
a) Type A - rectangular bar Hall anchor;
b) Type B - round bar Hall anchor;
c) Type C - Rectangular Short Bar Hall Anchor.
