Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 5358-1998 "Hexagon socket screwdriver", compared with GB/T 5358-1998, except for structural adjustment and In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

---Added product classification (see 4.1);

---Change the product mark (see 4.2, 3.3 in 1998 edition);

---Added material requirements and test methods (see 5.1, 6.1);

---The slot number of the working end has been increased to T5 and related dimensions (see 5.2, 3.2 in the 1998 edition);

---Added the requirements for the chamfering of the working end (see 5.2.3);

---Added the requirements and test methods for the shape of the working end (see 5.4, 6.4);

---Changed the hardness (see 5.5, 4.1 in the 1998 edition);

---The torque is changed (see 5.6, 4.2 in the 1998 edition);

---Changed the diameter of the steel ball used in the magnetic test (see 6.8, 4.3 in the 1998 edition);

---Change the inspection rules (see Chapter 7, Chapter 6 of the 1998 edition);

--- Changed the logo, packaging, transportation and storage (see Chapter 8, Chapter 7 of the 1998 edition);

---Changed the special gauge for flower shape size inspection (see Appendix A, Appendix A of the 1998 edition);

---The torque test block has been added (see Appendix B);

---The hexagonal flower-shaped test hole is deleted (see Appendix B of the 1998 edition).

1 Scope

This document specifies the product classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, and transportation of hexagon socket screwdrivers. Loss and storage.

This document is applicable to screwdrivers for hexagon socket screws (hereinafter referred to as "screws").

This document does not apply to hex socket screwdrivers for live working.
